Pin type insulator consists of a single piece of ceramic or two or more ceramic components permanently connected together and intended to be mounted rigidly on a supporting structure by an insulator pin/spindle. Unless otherwise stated, this term does not include the insulator pin. Normally, they are used on upto 69kv distribution lines.
