Shackle insulator ED-2B or butterfly insulator ED-2C applies to overhead transmission and distribution lines terminals. Usage of shackle insulator ED-2B, ED-2C:
ED-2B or ED-2C shackle insulator made of porcelain is mainly used as insulation and to fix the conductors or wires. It is used as one part of electrical fitting strings in order to simplify the fitting structure.
Butterfly insulator ED-2B or ED-2C, made of insulated conductors, is widely used in the line with the suspension insulators or electrical fittings in the line as a component to simplify the structure of fittings.

Shackle insulator ED-2B: 12KN,
Butterfly insulator ED-2C: 13KN,
Shackle insulator ED-2B, ED-2C flashover voltage levels:
ED-2B: Dry Flashover is not less than 25KV; wet flashover is not less than 12KV.
ED-2C: Dry Flashover is not less than 25KV; wet flashover is not less than 15KV.
D Bracket for butterfly insulator ED-2B, ED-2C:
Butterfly insulator ED-2B or ED-2C will be used together with D bracket, and one bolt of the bracket will go through the ceramic shackle insulator, another bolt will fix on the pole.
