
HV porcelain station post insulator
HV porcelain station post insulator also called porcelain solid core station post insulator. This type insulator widely used on transformer, distribution line, network and other electrical line. HV porcelain station post insulator made from wet process porcelain and in accordance with ANSI C29.9.
According to voltage class, some countries divided porcelain station post insulator into three classes: Low voltage porcelain station post insulator, the voltage from 7.5kV to 69kV
High voltage porcelain station post insulator, the voltage from 115kV to 230kV
Extra high voltage porcelain station post insulator, the voltage from 345kV to 500kV
For low voltage station post insulator, one piece can reach the requirement of voltage, but for high voltage such as 500kV, it needs to stack two pieces to meet the voltage class.
For some China HV porcelain station post insulator manufacturer they produce it using hand to handle porcelain cutting tool. This type production process is difficult to control the shed spacing. But we adopt computer numerical control production process which can improve the high voltage insulator quality a lot.
Besides ANSI C29.9 standard, we can also produce high voltage station post insulator according to IEC standard, AS standard or customers’ special requirement. And there are two types for this type high voltage insulator, normal type and anti-pollution type.
According to ANSI C29.9 HV porcelain station post insulator include: TR-202, TR-205, TR-208, TR-210, TR-214, and TR-216 to TR-289.
For IEC 273 and AS: 1137.3, it can be divided into: C4 (6, 8, 10)-95(125, 150, 170, 200, 250, 325, 550, 1050); SC-22, SC-22.
