Porcelain Insulators,Ceramic Insulator
Porcelains insulator is made of ceramic, and main material is clay, quartz, feldspar. These basic material then will mix according a certain ratio, and the main manufacturing process following is clay making, shapping, drying, glazing, firing, assembly.
Many colors for porcelain insulator: Brown, grey, white.
Normally grey porcelain insulator price is a little higher than brown porcelain insulators, white color ceramic insulator is only used in several countries. Grey porcelain insulator is mainly used in Europe and America, South American countries.
Main tests of porcelain insualtor: type test, sample test, routine test according to international standard. Main international standard for porcelain ceramic insulator is ANSI C29.1 and relative, BS137, IEC60383, DIN… Orient Power will provide insulator picture of testing and test report before delivery to customer.

Main types of porcelain insulators or ceramic insulatorï¼?br />
Refer to Fig 1- Porcelain disc suspension insulator
Used by strings according to system voltage to hang conductors.
Refer to Fig 2-Porcelain pin insulator
Used on crossarm of electrical poles to support conductors, normally from 11KV to 36KV.
Fig 3 Fig 4 Fig 5
Refer to Fig 3- Porcelain line post insulator
The same usage as ceramic pin insulator, but it is non puncture type and applys on 11KV to 132KV transmission lines.
Refer to Fig 4- Porcelain pin post insulator
Combined the advantage of ceramic line post insulator and pin type insulator, widely used in Asia and South America.
Refer to Fig 5-Porcelain / ceramic spool insulator
Used with bracket to change angle or direction of conductor.
Fig 6 Fig 7 Fig 8
Refer to Fig 6-Porcelain / ceramic shackle insulator
Similar as ceramic spool insulators to change angle or direction of conductor.
Refer to Fig 7-Porcelain stay insulator or ceramic guy strain insulator
Used with stay wire to pull them and fix the stay wire and stay assembly together onto the ground.
Refer to Fig 8-Ceramic station post insulator
Used on substations to support and insulate conductors.
